Many franchises across the country are offering discounts and freebies to customers who have served — or are currently serving — in the United States military in honor of Veterans Day 2022. Utah franchisees are finding new and creative ways to thank veterans for their service, from free meals and haircuts to discounted car services and health supplements.

Franchises and Veterans
Veterans fare well in franchising because they have been trained to work in teams and have strong leadership qualities. Many resources are available to veterans interested in franchise ownership, including the International Franchise Association's VetFran Program and the Small Business Administration's Boots to Business initiative.

The franchise industry is well-known for its affinity for veterans. Many franchisors provide incentives to veterans who want to become franchise owners as well as customers. The number of deals we outline below demonstrates that franchisors value the commitment and sacrifice made by U.S. military veterans.

Denny’s
Veterans Day is an annual tradition at Denny's. Active and inactive military members can participate in the fast-casual franchise's Build Your Own Grand Slam promotion from 5 a.m. to noon. Veterans can select four favorite foods from a menu of more than ten options. Buttermilk pancakes and eggs are examples of these.

Veterans Day 2022, Golden Corral
The Golden Corral franchise has hosted Military Appreciation Night to thank veterans for more than two decades. Veterans Day 2022 will be no exception. From 5 p.m. until closing on Nov. 14, military heroes can get a free meal and drink at Golden Corral. The offer is only valid for dine-in and does not apply to spouses or family members. There is no need for a military ID to take advantage of this offer.

Little Caesars Pizza
On Veterans Day 2022, veterans who want pizza can get a free lunch combo at participating Little Caesars locations. This offer is valid from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes four Deep Dish pizza slices and a 20-ounce soft drink. To get the deal, veterans and military personnel must show proof of service.

The offer is only valid for dine-in.

The Red Lobster
Military veterans can get a free Walt's Favorite Shrimp, Fries, and Coleslaw meal at Red Lobster.
